NEWS FLASH: AMAZON CENSORSHIP
4.14.08
I have removed all links to Amazon.com from this website due to the recent revelation that they, in their own words, "exclude 'adult' material from appearing in some searches and best seller lists. Since these lists are generated using sales ranks, adult materials must also be excluded from that feature."
For more information on this abrupt decision to make it difficult to find hundreds of titles -- including important "non-erotic" histories, texts for therapists handling GLBT clients, and nonfiction accounts of transgender experiences -- check out Slashdot's article (with links to lists of affected titles) or the #amazonfail tag on Twitter.
Lest you be left with any confusion about what's going on here, don't forget that they haven't stopped selling these titles. They will still gladly take your money, if you are clever enough to locate these titles in their website.
welcome to chaos, soon to be order
Welcome to the website for author Kal Cobalt. Due to the shortage of household robots conversant in HTML, this website is a work in progress sure to have a few examples of human error here and there. Remember, the universe is built from chaos, and only as we observe it is order created. Should you participate in the observation of this website's chaos, perhaps order will one day be attained. (Perhaps not.) Feel free to inform the management of any particularly egregious mounds of chaos left lying about in the pages.
Update 9.7.08: "Home," "News," and "Appearances" tabs functional.

I'm on a reading spree! Join me Friday, September 12 (yes, tomorrow) at Portland's Dirty Queer open mic.
K.C. at open mic
9.5.08
I enjoyed last month's QLiterati! reading so much that I signed up for open mic this month! Though I won't officially be on the Q&A panel, the audience is encouraged to ask open-mic participants questions during the Q&A if they wish (and you still get a cookie). Come say hi! September 10 from 7pm to 10pm at Portland's Q Center.
K.C.'s First Public Reading!
8.3.08
This month, I am a featured author in Portland, Oregon's QLiterati! reading series. The August 13 QLiterati! event will include an open mic segment, readings from the night's feature authors (including me), and a joint Q&A. (I heard a rumor that if you ask a Q, you get an A and a cookie.) Come hang out at the Q Center and say hi!
Here's how it works
3.2.2008
This is a brand spankin' new format for kalcobalt.com. While I'm delighted to have it, I also regret to inform you that nearly all links are currently dead. Transferring from the Old Crappy Design to the New Shiny Design is time-consuming (see above dismay at HTML robot shortage). As I get the pages up and running again, I'll post updates here so you know what's still in the works and what actually works.
